Shining Olympic Athletes (闪闪发光的少年) Commercial Broadcast Production (Collaborative Project)

A Youth Sports Factual Series Celebrating the Spirit of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, spotlighting a new generation of Chinese sports talents as emerging national role models. The series captures the determination, discipline, and youthful optimism of young athletes whose personal journeys embody the Olympic spirit beyond the arena.

Each episode unfolds through the perspective of host Bingbing Wang (王冰冰), blending intimate documentary observation with light, youth-oriented storytelling. By moving away from medal-centric narratives, the program focuses instead on growth, resilience, and the human side of excellence, making elite athletes relatable to a wide young audience.

I worked as Assistant Documentary Director on several episodes, responsible for script writing and on-location filming within a factual entertainment format. Featured episodes I contributed to include:

• Xiaoyuan Wei (韦筱圆) – Chinese artistic gymnast

• Jie Ke (柯洁) – Youth Go champion

• Changning Zhang (张常宁) – Professional volleyball player

My work focused on shaping character-centred narratives that highlight the personal journeys, dedication, and youthful spirit of these athletes.
